ATMC Presents the Town of Ocean Isle Beach
with Smart Rural Community Signs
ATMC General Manager and CEO, Keith Holden, recently presented Mayor
Debbie Smith
with Smart Rural Community signs at the Town’s January Board of Commissioners Meeting. Ocean Isle Beach was the first community served by ATMC to receive signs promoting this honor. The work ATMC has done on the island to install a new, future-proof fiber optic network qualifies them for this national recognition given by The Rural Broadband Association which highlights communities where implementation of faster broadband make them vibrant places to live and do business. ATMC’s $5.5 million dollar investment on Ocean Isle Beach provides more than 6,000 residents and businesses with access to one Gigabit broadband speeds.
“We are thankful to ATMC for investing in Ocean Isle Beach,” said Mayor
Debbie Smith,
“We know this recognition as a Smart Rural Community will be a wonderful resource in promoting Ocean Isle Beach as a great place to vacation, grow a business, or live year round.”
